Abacost Congress Shirt: Maison Château Rouge


Maison Château Rouge abacost congress shirt is a collaboration between Maison Château Rouge x Waxed Concrete. The abacost, abbreviation for the French “à bas le costume”, which literally translate to “down with the suit”, was the distinctive wear for men in Zaire. It was promoted between 1972 and 1990 to symbolise the break with their colonial past. The shirt is made of lightweight African print fabric. The neck is cut with notched lapels, chest pocket on the right, and short sleeves. Style yours sans tie, with rolled up chinos and high-top sneakers.
